Hi, I’m Lindsy behrend! Ever since i was a little girl i was living and breathing horses. I had to work hard for money to buy my first horse and show. Just like many it was a struggle. I have never truly had formal training until the last few years when i found a new talent in myself. When I was 19 i was told i would never be more than a 2’6” rider. This person was my childhood idol and i was trying to pursue horses as a career. I took the words to my heart and got a job to now afford my hobby. This is what inspired me to break and train. so i began to work with young and wild ponies Being successful up to 2’6” then selling them as I felt that was my limit of ability. Then December 2016 a good friend Whitney Owens convinced me to start pushing myself to move up the ladder. I’ll never forget the first time she had me and my stallion Industrious Detail jump a giant 3’6” oxer. I could never admitted at the time but I had no clue what I was doing. I just had an amazing horse that loved me and wanted to please me. For the first time in my life someone on the ground believed in me. That’s when the flame started for me to push for more. Indy and I started our first debut of 3’3” pre green in 2017. I worked as a restaurant manager mean while starting up a pet resort. I also made my first slaughter bound group rescue dec 2015. Little did I know i was creating the most addictive career! To this day I can hardly sleep in the anticipation of waking up tomorrow to work with my now Grand Prix horse and our newest 5 ponies that arrive next week. As of Jan 1, 2022 i have rescued 47 wild ponies off shipping trailer to Mexico. 42 have been sold and successfully placed in show barns across the U.S. specializing in children’s hunters. Several have been to pony finals. 5 are here with me finishing quarantine then start ground training. With my new ambitions to not only continue saving slaughter bound ponies; i have purchased some very nice warmblood & retained a quarter horses stallion to pursue my career goals of being competitive in the Grand Prix & Hunter world with a line of horses i can start to brand myself with. The sky is the limit and I attend to climb however high my ladder will reach!
